Panama is widely regarded as a symbol of specialty coffee excellence. The story dates back to 2004, when Hacienda La Esmeralda first entered the competition with the Geisha variety. A judge famously described it as “God in a cup,” a moment that marked the beginning of a new era for Panamanian specialty coffee.

Hacienda La Esmeralda is located in the renowned Boquete region, one of Panama’s most celebrated specialty coffee–growing areas. The estate primarily cultivates Typica, Bourbon, Catuai, and Geisha varieties. With its strong commitment to environmental stewardship and meticulous farm management, the estate has earned Rainforest Alliance certification. While La Esmeralda is best known worldwide for its Geisha coffees, its exceptional terroir and refined processing techniques have also brought widespread acclaim to its coffees as a whole.

Within the Green Label Geisha selection, lots are carefully separated by individual plots. Among them, Jaramillo and Cañas Verdes are the estate’s earliest-owned farms, renowned for their elegant and distinctive regional character—qualities that shine clearly in the cup.

巴拿馬 翡翠莊園　Panama Hacienda La Esmeralda

巴拿馬，咖啡精品化的代表。回溯於2004年，翡翠莊園首次以藝妓品種參賽，當時評審一句”God in a cup”的形容，為巴拿馬精品咖啡開啟全新的篇章。

翡翠莊園Hacienda La Esmeralda位於於巴拿馬精品豆產區波奎特，該區所種植的咖啡以Typica, Bourbon、Catual、Geisha為主，並因為對自然環境的用心和特殊照料，榮獲雨林聯盟證，翡翠莊園雖然以藝妓品種聞名於世界，得天獨厚的莊園環境以及和生豆處理技術，使得該莊園咖啡豆獲得愛戴。

今年在綠標藝妓中依不同地塊做批次區分，而Jaramillo/Cañas Verdes做為翡翠莊園最早期所擁有地塊且悠美傑出的地域風味，在杯中展露無疑。

翡翠鑽石山系列　Diamond Mountain

為翡翠莊園重要產品之一，栽種為在巴魯火山右方波奎特產區，Canas Verdes and Jaramillo兩區域的郊外山坡上，海拔約在1400-1700公尺之間，該區的火山土壤是種植咖啡的絕佳地點，原始森林也提供咖啡樹足夠的遮陰環境，生產出高品質的咖啡生豆。翡翠莊園雖然以藝妓品種聞名於世界，得天獨厚的莊園環境以及和生豆處理技術，使得該莊園非藝妓品種的鑽石山同時也獲得愛戴。

翡翠莊園多次在最佳巴拿馬(Best of Panama)競賽中創下佳績，以下為獲獎紀錄
